Technologists

Our Technologists

Each IONM technologist representing Advanced Monitoring Services is either board certified or board eligible. In addition to sanctioned educational training modules, all technologists undergo a five to six month on-site intra-operative training period under the supervision of a Certified Neurophysiological Intra-Operative Monitor (CNIM). Once each technologist has completed the training and orientation process according to the guidelines set forth by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET), he/she becomes eligible to sit for the CNIM boards after successfully monitoring 150 surgeries. The American Board of Registration of EEG and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) is the governing body over the certification of IONM Technologists, granting CNIM credentials to those technologists who acquire sufficient test scores on the board exams. In addition to adequate training and credentialing, all AMS technologists have met or satisfy all general and specific credentialing criteria for all facilities in which our services are requested. Not only do our technologists meet industry standards, but they meet healthcare facility standards as well.
